Each member of the Canto Soave vocal ensemble has for many years followed her own distinctive path in various branches of music and musical theatre, exploring a wide range of repertoires and styles. Following many fruitful collaborations Canto Soave was created out of its members' love for the beauty of the harmonious sound produced by female voices in the works of the most prominent composers of the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods. Equally interested in contemporary musical idioms and music theater performances, they initiate collaborations with composers and directors creating ground braking performances acclaimed by audiences and press alike.
They have performed in most major Athenian venues (Megaron, The Athens Concert Hall – National Opera House – Olympia, Athens Municipal Theater Maria Callas) and live radio broadcasts. Their first CD entitled Vita Segreta – Musica Segreta was issued by FM Records. Canto Soave consists of Maira Milolidaki soprano, Natassa Angelopoulou soprano, Effi Minakoulis mezzo soprano – renaissance lute – theorbo, Katerina Ktona cembalo. |
